Choosing best 1000 W Led Grow Light
Knowing the science behind LED Grow lights is as important as the plants themselves. It cannot be stressed enough but it is of high value since the intensity of light directly affects the quality of the crop and the yield. If the lighting is not appropriate for your plants, the potency will be reduced and the yield would be affected and the buds of the plants wouldn’t be as dense as they ought to.
The Wattage or watts are a measure of amounts of energy that is being used by a bulb. The more the wattage, the brighter the light would be but also, the power consumption would be equally high.

Do you NEED 1000W?
This is a pretty common question, often asked by many. And the answer is pretty simple: All you need to focus on is the coverage area (which is the area to be covered in lighting) and the actual wattage of the lights you’re using.
You see, by actual wattage, I mean to say that manufacturers mention the highest wattage at which the light can be used. For example, if the wattage of a light says 40W, it means that if that light is driven to it’s highest capacity, it would be using 40W at the most. So, accordingly, you can determine if you actually need 1000W.
Difference between 300W, 600W, 1000w Grow Lights
The difference between 300W, 600W, 1000w is pretty basic. 300W LED Grow lights are made for a smaller area, say, about 3′ x 3′. They’re suitable for you if you want to have a smaller yield and don’t need much lighting. 600W are for a medium-sized area, around 4′ x 4′ while 1000W can be used for as large area as 5′ x 5′ to 6′ x 6′.
Apart from coverage area, 300W, 600W and 1000W would be different in terms of light intensity too. If you need a huge bush or trees of some sort, 1000W might come in handy. 300W would be suitable for smaller plants.
Coverage Area By Watts
One might be completely lost when it comes to coverage area. Since it is very difficult for a layman to determine which light would be suitable for them, it is important to know how it all works.
Ideally, you should calculate the wattage you actually require since no chart or prescribed watts are accurate to your requirements. The best way to calculate the coverage area is by multiplying the length and the width of the area.
Now, this number would be the total area of your canopy. Now, multiply this number by the number of watts. That number would be the number of watts you require.
For example: The length and breadth of your canopy are 5′ and 6′, the area would be 5′ x 4′ = 20 sq.ft.
Multiply this by the number of watts your lighting has, (say, it consumes 65 watts)
20 sq.ft x 65 watts = 1300 watts are required for optimal yield.
This way, you can easily calculate the watts that are actually required by your crops.
